WWD: Mason Rothschild Speaks About Hermès NFT Case

It has been roughly a year since luxury fashion house Hermès’ legal tussle began with designer and digital artist Mason Rothschild over his MetaBirkins NFTs, a collection of digital artworks depicting furry Birkin bags. But the intense interest and targeted media spotlight in the lawsuit hasn’t waned.

The high-profile case may set a precedent that determines intellectual property rights in the new virtual frontier. But there are other matters at stake here, according to Rothschild and his attorneys — Rhett O. Millsaps II and Christopher J.
